Rider setup & conditions

Make the estimate relevant to your rider and equipment.

Review the setup

  1. Set the race date and start time where known.
  2. Check rider weight and bike-plus-gear weight.
  3. Choose a riding-position preset and road-surface setting that fit the event.
  4. Review drivetrain efficiency and the available rider power profile.
  5. Recheck the time estimate after changing the setup.

Use realistic inputs

Rider mass, equipment, position and available power all affect the result. Use representative values rather than optimistic numbers. If the power profile has limited evidence, interpret estimates with extra caution.

Weather availability

Forecast use depends on the race date and available weather data. Do not assume an estimate includes wind just because a date is entered. Check the conditions shown by the analysis and compare again when more relevant information is available.
