Race goals & priorities

Give your training a destination without making every event equally important.

Add a goal race

  1. Open the race controls in Plan.
  2. Enter the event name, date, sport and priority.
  3. Add distance if you know it, plus notes about the course or your goal.
  4. Save and review the event in the plan.

Use priorities deliberately

Priorities distinguish the events that matter most from supporting or lower-stakes events. Tell the coach which goal should take precedence if your schedule is crowded.

When an event moves or is cancelled, update the saved race and tell the coach what changed. Check upcoming sessions rather than assuming every date has already been adjusted.

A race goal is not a course file

A calendar race describes your event and training objective. Race Analysis adds a cycling GPX course, pacing analysis and saved course-specific goals. They provide complementary context, but adding a race does not automatically supply a GPX route.
