Plain-language meanings for the terms used throughout Peaklab.

Training and recovery
- Training load: an indication of how demanding recorded training was.
- Fitness / fatigue / form: views of accumulated training, recent demands and their balance.
- HRV: variation between heartbeats, used as part of recovery context.
- Resting HR: heart rate measured at rest.
- Baseline: your own typical history used to put readings in context.
- Readiness: a summary of available context for today’s training, not medical clearance.
Workouts and racing
- FTP: a cycling power threshold used to describe training intensity.
- LTHR: a sport-specific threshold heart-rate reference for zones.
- CP: critical power, a cycling power-profile estimate used in race analysis.
- W′: a modelled high-intensity work reserve.
- NP: a power summary that reflects variation in effort.
- GPX: a file format that can contain route points and elevation.
- Pacing: distributing effort across a course.
Connections
- Sync: updating Peaklab from connected services.
- Source priority: your preference when providers supply overlapping data.
- MCP: a connection protocol through which an external AI can use Peaklab tools.
- API key: a secret credential. Treat it like a password.
