Power profile & thresholds
Understand the values that shape your zones and workout targets.
Read the power profile
The power-duration view shows available best efforts over different durations and periods. Short efforts and sustained efforts describe different aspects of your profile. Missing efforts mean limited evidence, not necessarily limited ability.
Critical power and related estimates support cycling analysis. They should not be treated as interchangeable with FTP or as guaranteed power you can hold on race day.
Keep thresholds current
In Dashboard, find Performance thresholds inside the detailed zones section. The editor provides FTP (W), LTHR (bpm) and CP (W) · Running. These values affect zone labels and planned targets; running CP is distinct from the cycling power profile.
- Enter the threshold value you intend to update and choose Save.
- For an FTP change, choose the Effective from date in the confirmation dialog.
- Confirm the change, then review the zone ranges and FTP history.
- After a fresh sync, check that the intended value is still present.
When power is missing
Connect a source with recorded power and allow it to sync. A heart-rate-only activity cannot supply a measured power-duration curve. Provider history and permissions can limit what is available.
