Peaklab vs Xert
Xert is built around a detailed model of your power, updated from your hardest efforts without formal tests. Peaklab also models your power duration curve, but the centre of the product is different: a coach that combines training and recovery and that you can talk to.

Where Peaklab is different
Recovery as a first class input
A power model knows what you can do when fresh. Peaklab also asks whether you are fresh, from the wearable you trust, and adjusts the next sessions accordingly.
Plain language in, plan out
Instead of tuning settings, tell the coach what you want: a gran fondo in June, eight hours a week, no training on Mondays. It builds and revisits the plan with you.
Race day on a real course
Upload a cycling GPX and Peaklab finds the climbs, then compares conservative, target and aggressive pacing with estimated times, using your rider profile.
Questions
Is Peaklab's power model as detailed as Xert's?
No, and it does not try to be. Peaklab fits a power duration envelope from your rides to support the coach and race analysis. If signature level power modelling is your priority, Xert is the specialist.
Does Peaklab need a power meter?
No. Power improves zone targets and race analysis, but the coach also works with heart rate and pace.
