Peaklab vs ChatGPT
General chatbots like ChatGPT or Claude know a lot about training, but nothing about you unless you paste it in every time. Peaklab gives an AI coach direct access to your activities, recovery, plan and memory, and you can even bring that context into Claude.
The short version
Choose ChatGPT if
- You want general training ideas, not a personal plan.
- You are happy to paste your data into each conversation.
- You do not use any device or training platform.
Choose Peaklab if
- You want answers grounded in your actual rides, runs and sleep.
- You want the coach to remember injuries, goals and preferences.
- You want a plan that is saved, tracked and adapted, not a one off reply.

Where Peaklab is different
Computed, then explained
Training load, readiness and zones are computed from your data by Peaklab, not guessed by a language model. The AI explains and plans on top of numbers that are already right.
It remembers
Tell the coach once that you cannot train on Mondays or that your knee is sore. That goes into coaching memory and shapes every later plan.
Use it in Claude
Prefer your usual assistant? Peaklab's MCP server gives Claude and other compatible clients your activities, wellness, plan and memory, and lets them update your plan and races.
Questions
Is the Peaklab coach just a chatbot with my data pasted in?
No. Peaklab computes load, readiness, zones and plan structure itself, and the language model works on top of those results with tools to read and change your plan. Through MCP you can also bring the same context into your own Claude account.
Can ChatGPT read my training data?
Not on its own. You would need to export and paste it. Peaklab connects to your platforms and keeps the data current.
Is MCP read only?
No. Connected assistants can also update your Peaklab plan, races and coaching memory. Your private URL contains a key you can rotate at any time.
